Loving One Another & Sharing God’s Love

Loving one another and sharing God’s love with all people are central to the mission of Grace Baptist. Below are some of the ways we seek to fulfill this mission…
…In the Kansas City area:

Bethel Neighborhood Center

Bethel Neighborhood Center located at 14 S 7th St Tfwy in Kansas City, KS is one of sixteen Community Outreach Ministries Christian centers that provide community support for children, seniors and families through specific programs they have developed. Grace Baptist has many members that volunteer their services to work with children and seniors, provide monthly meals, pick up food from Harvesters and serve in leadership positions. Bethel Neighborhood Center has been a source of light and hope in their community since 1911! Thanks to all those who donated to their capital campaign to expand their services they moved back into the renovated facility in May 2019. You are welcome to learn more about the renovation here.

Clay County Clothes Closet

Grace Baptist has volunteers who give their time and talents to the Clay County Clothes Closet which was founded in 1959. The Clothes Closet is located at 3939 N. Cleveland Ave., Kansas City, MO 64117.
From their website, “Clay County Clothes Closet is a non-profit organization that provides free clothing to Northland families in need. Our volunteers assist children and families who are referred to the Clothes Closet by churches, schools, and social agencies. Originally operated from the basement of a drug store, the Clothes Closet served approximately 125 families in its first year. Through generous donations and community support, the Clothes Closet now serves about 2,000 people each year.”

Grace Baptist Church is on the volunteer schedule for the third Tuesday of February, April, August, October, and December.
Financial donations are very much needed, greatly appreciated, and tax-deductible! The funds are used to purchase new items to distribute to clients. The Clothes Closet is also in need of donations of good, clean, up-to-date used clothing. Please consider giving!
